Drew Yates

Drew Yates serves as the Minister to Students & Families at New Life Baptist Church. He has been serving in local church ministry for more than 20 years and has a passion for helping students and families know Jesus, grow in their faith, and live out the Gospel in everyday life.

Before coming to New Life in 2020, Drew served in several churches throughout Alabama. He loves working with students and considers it a privilege to walk alongside them and thier families during some of the most formative years of their lives. His desire is to see the next generation not simply attend church, but become committed followers of Jesus who know God’s Word, love His Church, and live on mission.

Drew and his wife, Kim, have been married for 20 years and have three children: Ty, Eli, and Avery. When he isn’t serving at church, Drew enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, visiting theme parks, and finding opportunities to get outdoors.
